Evernote’s premise is simple: it’s a repository for data, whether that’s text files, audio notes, images, PDFs, or pretty much anything else you can grab and digitise. It stores your notes online and synchronises them with all the Macs linked to your account, as well as your iPhone if you download the iPhone application.
You can tag files and organise them in a way that suits you. There’s a paid-for version, but the free version has enough features and support for all but the most enthusiastic users.
