The first Mac Computer which is called Apple 1 was invented, designed and developed by Steve Wozniak, an engineer at Hewlett-Packard. This computer was introduced on April 1, 1976 (April Fool’s Day) and the first of its kind was used by Junior High Math class in Windsor CA. which gave Apple a competitive edge in the Educational Realm , and then it was donated to LO*OP Center, a nonprofit educational organization run by Liza Loop. Loop, who is also the director of the History of Computing in Learning and Education Project, agrees: “Woz wanted this simple, low-cost design so that the Apple would be affordable for students and teachers.” The Apple 1 had a total sale of 200 units sold at $666.66 at that time, a merely $2,400 equivalent value today.
